Is it ”real” krav maga? This is always a valid question.
I’m the second generation of instructors learning from the direct students of Imi Lichtenfeld. Grandmasters Eyal Yanilov (IKMF, Now KMG), my first Instructor course teacher, Raphy Elgrissy whom I graduated my 5th dan with, Avi Abeceedon, the head of the martial arts program at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College with whom I organized the first Levinsky – Wingate course in the Nordics in 2024 (with Ron Rotem) added with other first generation grandmasters like Gabi Noah (IKMF, now IKM), Eli Ben-Ami (IKMF), Avi Moyal (IKMF) and Guy Rafaeli (ICS).
Addition to this I have trained and organized seminars (in Finland, Estonia and Israel) with the second generation people like Amnon Darsa (IKMF then, now on his own), Ron Rotem with whom we brought the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College Instructor training to the Nordics headed by Avi Abeceedon, Schlomi Abeceedon, Amit Porat, Avivit Cohen, Lea Drey, Tommy Blom (IKMF Then, now with his own HYBRID – Krav Maga) and Danny Netzer, the current head of IDF Krav Maga program, with whom I exchange notes on Military training and especially on Task-Orientated-Training on regular basis.
As of today, I have coached close to hundred third generation instructors and 30 black belts in Krav Maga Finland , The Finnish Krav Maga Federation, since the foundation of the ”Finnish Flavor of Krav Maga” in 2015.
My true passion is to help people in learning how the defend themselves and their loved ones and thus I’m actively promoting the Federation of Israeli Martial Arts FIMA. The organization that brings all Israeli Martial arts together. Check out the thefima.com (Note! Make this link to open in a new window)
The krav maga we represent and train honors the insights and principles of Imi and adds the latest academic research on motor-skill learning to the recipe. “We must learn from everybody. And Be humble” – Imi Lichtenfeld.
